2016 America: Where a 12-year old boy is shot and killed by the police for playing with a toy and it’s his fault because he should have “known” that people would see him as a threat, while a full-grown adult who rapes an unconscious woman and tries to flee should only have to endure a couple months of jail because

CONTROL. It’s about control.

You make me feel so old.

Not to mention several people DID call police and other assistance, but a woman being killed in public while other people stood and watched made for a better headline.

So she’s saying she stays sober performing to protect herself from men just like the man she is attempting to support?

Her first one was filled with grammar mistakes which I found funny since her band’s name is good English.

Dear Leslie Rasmussen,

Dear Leslie Rasmussen,

Have fun at your own assault trial!

I wasn’t aware that Linda had Parkinson’s until a recent article here about her upcoming album with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris (old recordings, of course) It really made me sad.

Reading this makes me very very very very very very very very...... Very very glad I don’t do social media. Screw that noise.

I saw that and people have no idea why the other five kids didn’t go to dinner with their grandfather. I mean I don’t believe each one had an emergency where they could not make it, but what if the one you were sending death threats to did?

Not that I’ve looked into it, but did he actually receive death threats, or is he just talking smack?

Wait, so you are saying when a career field has an influx of qualified labor, the wages drop collectively? No shit, that is how things work when the more labor is introduced into a system.

Well, like I said, crows are smart.

OK, I’ve been waiting all day for Jezebel to recognize that March 15th is only important because it’s Notorious RBG’s Birthday! Why oh why, do we get posts about The Bachelor, Kim K., and Mama June, but nothing about RBG?

This is precisely why I only have whiskey for breakfast.

So I’m here with a pedantic request: can we please banish the (made-up?) term ‘biannual’? I’ve seen people using it more and more lately, and what’s worse is they’re using it to denote two different things. If you mean once every two years, say ‘biennial’. If you mean twice a year, say ‘semiannual’.

A sign it’s probably an unhealthy weight for a *child* if walking results in chafing and rash.
