A good point, but with GTA, they could just release next gen alone and still release a complete edition later. They'd still sell well I bet.

lolno. More platforms to sell a shit ton of copies on - the better for them. Sony could go take a dump on their car and Rockstar wouldn't care. Because Rockstar is about to make more money then I'll ever see in my life.

I don't think so necessarily. I doubt people will buy it twice especially if you've already dominated it. It's a good move for folks who are coming back to gaming by buying a new system. GTA has great name recognition and anyone coming back to the next gen will likely pick up popular musts buys in their mind.

As long as the consumer group exists for it, someone will continue to make it. Straight forward stuff. Sure, some studios will go, but it'll stabilize on it's own in my opinion!

I think it's proving the point that there is an over saturation of AAA games. They have to spend more and more to develop a better and better product to compete. Takes more money. Meanwhile, they have to sale a much higher quantity. Then there is all of us who have vast libraries of games most of us have never

Well it's good form to write to an audience assuming they know the minimum. I don't think that paragraph was written with superiority in play.

I appreciate your perspective. It's really revealing for the consumers who don't necessarily understand the whole situation. Over saturation is the key as you point out and I believe the industry will follow a simple cycle. From time to time, when there are just too many AAA games being pumped out, studios will die.

Ah the MMO survivor. Yeah, some dudes just lost control and really passed a bad rep for other guys. Well cooperative games are your first logical step. If your restricted to console, try Left 4 Dead, Dungeon Defenders, and stuff of that nature. The simpler, the better to start from so confidence in each other as a

Hehe. Well my girlfriend really enjoys socializing on the games we frequent,so when someone says enough to make her uncomfortable, that's the appropriate time to do my thing. With the kids talking, we either laugh or mute them. Because kids.

Announcing does sound a bit weird. It's more like this, we are in a game and someone gets...weird. Then I say something indirect that hints at the obvious. "Hey do you want anything to drink babe, I'm heading to the kitchen?" over mic. Or if they are being way over the top, I will say something more direct. But again,

My g/f and I play together on alot of multiplayer games. It can be annoying/comedic to watch people fall into stupid roles before or if I announce who I am to her in chat.

Happy birthday! Your place within the world is appreciated and followed. Continued to make awesome games sir.

He sounds pretty reasonable in his plan. I don't really blame them either.

A boring response. How am I supposed to enjoy this console war thing if there isn't more silly action between competing companies. Geez, the Microsoft Bing versus Google commercials were more interesting and silly than this has been. Tone it up guys, I can't eat popcorn to nothing.

Right, I had to go back in time to understand this a bit better (Google) and I think I understand better. So versus was being developed alongside 13 from the get go but disappeared for awhile. Got it. I think that still sticks with what I'm saying. Starts development in 2006 to be apart of 13's universe. 13 shows up

You wrote a much more objective non-lazy version of what I should of wrote in the first place and covered the important points that I didn't think to mention. Awesome post.

My memory is hazy on that one and I may be totally wrong, but I thought versus was initially supposed to be a continuation of the universe of 7 or 8? In this case, I'd actually say they took a "correcting" action and terminated the original goal game and re purposed resources used in the game and the project team to

As far as South Park goes, I don't have any fear yet over it. I'll start shitting bricks...wait...can't pass this up - I'll start "Duking" myself if South Park isn't ready by next fall. But if it doesn't make it this fall - it's fine, maybe even better that way considering the kind of expansive rpg it's supposed to be.

It was just a general remark. I could reference Too Human or a few others. Games haven't been around long in terms of history and when one takes 10 years at the rate of tech increases or longer than some console generations - it doesn't often bode well. Typically, if a AAA studio or even a fairly known one takes a

It looks good, it'll be out when it's ready. I don't want to force a deadline on this as I'd rather they do what they need to do. Best to do it right. Now if they hit 4 or 5 years, we can just call it Duke Nukem and move on with our lives as we will know in 5 more years that it's gonna be crap when it finally arrives.
