He was the one holding the gun, pointed at the victim, when it went off. He is also a producer on the project. There’s a pretty good chance he’s one of “the people actually responsible,” and I’m not entirely sure how any suit arising from this incident wouldn’t have him as a defendant.

Good. Hutchins’s family certainly deserves compensation for this pointless, avoidable tragedy.  At the very least, they deserve answers, and nothing satisfactory has come out of the camp of Baldwin or anyone else involved in shooting this movie.

I suspect that it’s because he’s just not a total narcissist. When you’ve been dealing with Mr. “Imma let you finish, but...”, somebody who can at least PRETEND to listen, even if he’s just daydreaming and thinks “Oh, as long as I’m ordering flowers, I should order some for Khloe too.” is a pretty big step up.

All this, and for a celebrity I think there’s also an aura of “authenticity” that they’re going for. If you post a stream of consciousness without punctuation, people might call you an idiot but they won’t assume a publicist wrote it for you.
