That’s not electric.
Yup ... that car was owned by someone else.
I’m almost certain the car in that video has an engine. There’s a few YouTube videos available of it, and it sounds completely silent. More importantly, it sits completely level. The one in the video above has a noticeable sag in the rear.
While money is no object, this product doesn’t interest me because I never learned how to read.
The mismatched center caps are really killing the aesthetics of the vehicle. That and the design, shape, and proportions of the body. But mostly the center caps.
Why does an electric car sound like a lawnmower
I’m pretty sure the CPO inspection on my GTI was the service manager asking the salesman who took it on trade “Did they drive it here?” and then checking all of the boxes.
Welp, it started out with a can of green spray paint and then kinda took off from there. Best conversation piece ever.
Replaced doritos with 8 pistons.
Tire air pressure gauge. Otherwise my car would be all over the place because it was .02psi off.
Nope. I had one in the early 90's when I lived in a ski resort. When it was driveable it was a great snow car, but I will never, ever own another. I paid $15K to buy it and probably another $15K to keep it on the road, (a few grand on the brakes alone). These cars are a friggin nightmare. CRACK PIPE!
The engine compartment looks rougher than a cobb, it doesn’t have a CEL “except under acceleration,” has an ABS light, and has an “Exceed Mechanicals Limits” (whatever that means) on the CarFax.
Cool car, but just bought this for 1500 with the 5 spd.
They haven’t. I very very rarely see Audis older than the early 2000's on the road, whereas I still see a fair number of older Mercedes and BMWs from the 90's. Out of the “big 3" German luxury brands, Audi has always been the least reliable by far IMO.
A well sorted 5000 will only be well sorted for roughly 20 days at the max. Then it will begin spewing hydraulic oil out of every orifice, the transmission will crap out, the heater core will leak, the all plastic hot water valve will snap, the seat heaters will go rogue, the outer door handle will snap off in your…
For that price it better come with a parts car because that’s the only chance you have to keep this thing running. And no AC? And a check engine light? And another light?
A truly awesome car... but $4,500 won’t even crack the attempt to chase down that CEL & ABS issue. If it was sorted, the 4.5K and NP.... but for those little issues to drive you mad... CP. 2K at the most.
Love it...
