I try to steer clear of the circlejerk as much as anyone, but your concerns are not warranted here.
It’s not “stupid”. How Apple’s competitors have implemented this “feature” is certainly stupid and gimmicky, but that’s now how Apple will do it.
A few things:
“Hardcore” has become marketing jargon to mean “Mass produced Sony/Microsoft game” - Can you imagine if film were the same way? Michael Bay’s “Transformers” movie would be considered “Hardcore”.
Silly gamer. You’re not supposed to like the Switch. The internet has made its decision.
It’s got nothing to do with hope, they aren’t going to spill their whole VC plan to Kotaku.
The flip side is that leaving open questions and trickling out details over the next few weeks will keep us talking about this thing through March 3.
Or they just have stuff they want to trickle out on their own schedule in their own words and not to Kotaku.
Even if you go all-digital (which I plan to!), the game filesizes seem pretty small. Zelda is the biggest I’ve heard of so far, and it’s under 13GB in total.
I don’t understand how Nintendo keeps getting away with their archaic account system and policies, and making people rebuy the same old VC games. It’s 2017 and they still don’t have a proper unified account system.
Keep your advice out of my wallet Schreier! Sure I already have this exact game on my Wii channel from 2006 AND my 3DS, but how else will I be able to give Nintendo my money?!
