@The Lab: i don't think that's necessarily true - forgive me if i don't take your word for it.

@FrancoVS: i understand what you're saying but ultimately, it depends on how detailed your simulation is when you call it "good enough".

@The Lab: doesn't that depend on what you mean by "modeling the brain"?

actually, is this guy misinterpreting what kurzweil is saying?

why not an imax "4D" experience? air cannons launching scented, spermicidal lotion at you... every FAP FAP FAP a gigantic blast from a pneumatic mortar? "tingler-esque" electric shocks to the perineum? vibrating seats? a motion platform ala star tours so that you can feel every thrust? like you were literally

@vrey_oneida: right. it IS a good idea to coat walls and hell, all hospital surfaces with this stuff. if they can get this on doctor's ties (which i hear is a big culprit), that would be awesome too. i'm definitely not contesting that. but i guess i'm just asking why think macro first? why not just setup the

@Atillo: well i'm not saying literally hosing them down. : ) a spray bottle or a deodorant style can or hell, like BACTINE spray would do. and i'm not saying the entire person would need to covered. just the site of the wound.

@Khaim: right but the article made it very specific that the enzyme only takes out staph aureus and that even "non pathogenic strains of staph (bacteria)" use it to defend itself from mrsa.

wait so if this thing is so freakin' effective and not harmful to human cells, why are they fucking around with paint?

wow, kudos - what a GREAT question!

@WonkersWatilla: "Michael Cera is the ultimate Method Actor, is what you're saying. What we see on screen is his embodiment of his experiences in life, which translates to nebbish, awkward teenager. "

@Maddrjeffe: yah... it's gotta be something tangential cuz as someone in his 30s, i simply don't get the "gut level" disdain that some are displaying. i've always found cera funny and charming in a nebbish kinda way...

@WonkersWatilla: if the criticism is the same criticism being leveled against cera - that he doesn't "disappear" (whatever the hell that means), i disagree.

@MrGOH: we're being imprecise with our terms so let's clarify.

by the way, i think that the criticism that michael cera only plays the same character in everything is unfair.

preface: the movie previews and commercials looked cool and i was totally looking forward to it.

@Aethyr: exactly what i was thinking... articulating, telescoping (and shock absorbing) spokes from the central hub of the wheel... that would kick treads' ass up and down the street.

man, that's a lot of effort to show what poor sense and taste you have. who'd a thunk that douchebaggery and dumbfuckery goes so hand in hand with cross country driving.
