I'm guessing this means at least 3 episodes with bookend scenes of Stark and Snow trying to muster support and being rebuffed

I was saying the same thing to my wife. He at least is used to the idea of women as badass warriors, so that gives him a leg up over most Westerosi men in dealing with Brienne.

I love Daenerys' propensity for the Big Solution. Esp the big fiery murderous solution. i suppose this directly contradicts GRRM's firm statement that Daenerys is *NOT* immune to fire, the thing in book one was a special circumstance because of the magic. Doesn't bother me much.

Iron Man? Horseshit. The correct answer is: They're all crap.

most people agree on one bedrock assumption about the superhero glut of the last 15 years: The Dark Knight is the best of the bunch. “Most people,” in this case, not including me, because I consider Christopher Nolan’s second Batman film to be the most overrated movie of my adult life. Is Heath Ledger’s Joker amazing?

GGK is a god among mortals.

Sandkings was awesome.

The page where Carrie climbs the building as Robin, for the first time, is really striking and beautifully done.

but GRRM is a pretty good writer. And among other fantasy writers, he's brilliant.

Fucking Davos. I just re-watched the beginning of the episode.
"I failed."
"Good. Now go fail again."
Awesome.

Tonight, I didn't leave the episode feeling like I knew much more than when I started about either the plot or the characters.

"Little" loophole.

It's just so un-Stark like to exploit a technicality in an oath.

Was Alliser Thorne a Targ loyalist, or a Lannister loyalist?

Lady Stoneheart? Gone. Monster baby? Gone. Rickon to Skagos? Gone.

Didn't Varys torture a wizard to death a while back?

If this is what GRRM had planned for that storyline, he owes everyone an apology.

Ghost, Nymeria's running around the forest somewhere, and Summer.

Has Jon ever been scorched? Maybe it will be revealed that he is fireproof.

I dunno, a big part of Jon Snow's identity is the whole "Eddard Stark's son" situation, so when it turns out not to be so – I think he's going to be pretty devastated.
