Good to know, thought it might have been ratings but wasn't sure on my memory

And if everyone is making recommendations - I'd tip my hat to the recent Lone and Wolf and Cub Criterion release before Lady Snowblood.

Hmm, pretty sure the black and white wasn't for no reason but was a result of studio demands to reduce the blood?

Assuming the original stories were correct - that there was the original series planned of eight episodes then the new ten added - and the week break after episode 8… can we assume that's the moment of recover and return to Twin Peaks? It would have made for a brutal cliffhanger in the original plans for two series.

Having lost a father to Alzhiemer's there's something both heartwrenching about Cooper as Dougie and intensely joyful in seeing every moment of increasing clarity. Those sad moments of cognition that never lead to memory actually connecting here.

I don't want to sound pedantic but ;)

Hmm, not sure you really wanted the leave in Jimmy Saville at 31 minutes. Yeah his show had lots of movie stuff but, you know, he's now recognised as the UK's most prolific peadophile and sexual predator, not to mention necrophile. Thankfully we no longer have to see footage of him with children in the U.K. and some

Haha, he's already made all the episodes - fuck you ratings, you can't touch this!

I've been trying to track down a release date list for movies in Korean hotels - just to check off which films I should bother going to the cinema to see…

Oh and other's mentioned, the bank is closed

Traditionally, if it helps convince you, you run the con with a couple of others to convince the mark. Make a bit of a queue, have a mark arrive and the guy in front argues with the guard about it not being safe, which the mark agrees to. Then another guy arrives in the queue, pushes past everyone arguing and agrees

Now I adored Sandman, right down to reading every issue on the day it hit the comic book shop shelves but re-reading recently it'd be great to see someone like Fuller work with Gaiman on those earlier issues. You really feel the difference from 24 Hour Diner on.

I kinda feel those bits just really capture the idea that you're supposed to be watching a really bad soap opera that just happens to be pouring out of Lynch's mind.

The scene lead to a massive number of complaints in the UK. I seem to remember the show began at 8.50ish - before the 9pm watershed where content could be more adult. The argument was that the violent scenes took place later than 9 but the complaints led to the UK regulators making it clear that any show that had

Chopper! Chopper! Chopper! CHOPPER!

Woo hoo, alcoholics are fucking brilliant to be around

Goddamn it, I still think of Pipes and the dog fetus in the darkest moments of the night

I've never watched the show before but I love both cheap sci-fi and Doug McClure. So I'm jumping straight in with my one of my favourite ever films, At the Earth's Core. Will see how it goes.

Explain why something isn't a valid review of a series ain't exactly winning me over ;)

Just stop putting grades on these previews - you haven't seen the series.
