Which is why very few movies and TV shows film on actual planes, instead opting for specialized sets.

your argument fails on two levels

I agree with your broader point, but I’m guessing the DoE doesn’t have jurisdiction over private universities.

Nah, not really.  I consider myself center-right, and I’m completely in favor of the book being thrown at these assholes.

I’d love to have more details, but it doesn’t seem like this was a zero-sum situation. The applicant wasn’t given a scholarship or spot on the rowing team (which are both, presumably, limited), they were just admitted with the lower standards that athletes get.

US News does suck, and has been a tool of privatization in education for decades now.

(The fact that you should “compete” to get a higher education, though, is patently fucked up, no matter how deeply ingrained it is in American society.)

NES games were 20-30$.

TV has been replete with overweight men ( ...the entire cast of the Sopranos, just off the top of my head). Did you bring those points up there?

Can’t really blame the response to Harlem Nights on “white audiences” - that movie was terrible.

despite the fact that he never played water polo and his high school didn’t have a water polo team. So Sloane bought a bunch of water polo stuff on Amazon and conducted a photo shoot, which CW-1 advised him on:

I thought he actually had it in his waistband (which is even dumber).

Oddly enough, I previously assumed USC was a public university, but apparently not.

We made the worse choice by electing Trump. I thought it was pretty clear what I was saying.

Well, nothing was “overruled” or unfair - that’s the system we use as Americans. It’s a flawed system, but not an illegitimate one.

Not politically, but actual intervention would require him to pay attention to one thing for longer than 45 seconds.

In fact, why don’t we extensively test people trying to be president?

because the other way seems to suggest a fry made of fish

Now playing

I was picturing something more like this:

but do you remember when Trump gave detailed descriptions of women being duct-taped and thrown in the back of cars for purposes of human trafficking?
