When you see someone look into that oven and see their cake/pie in a sad shape, the look of sadness on their face is so genuine. I watch Masterchef too but they try to ramp up the anguish too fucking much.

My mom got me hooked on that show. It is the SHIT. Between the dessert porn and the hosts, I love it. And I find the overall tone of the show really refreshing - there is zero personality-based drama, no yelling and no tantrums, unlike on American reality TV.

This doesn’t surprise me at all. The Great British Bake Off is somehow the best show on TV. And I’m being serious.

Having played it, it doesn’t feel like the Metroid name was just slapped on it. It actually feels like a cool side adventure in a bigger universe and makes me wish we had more of these, just as I’d like there to be more main Metroid games, too. They do a good job not just of using Samus as a supporting character but…
