I think Columbo and Jim Rockford really stand out for how well rounded both they are their worlds are without feeling the need to use cheap character development.

Columbo
Silent, Stunted Superman might finally be within Cavill's range at least.
I'm really hoping the film does that thing pretty much ever Aquaman run does and has the character talk at length about all the cool powers he has but only uses in this one specific instance.
My money is on the CGI Cushing from Rogue One
It's a smart choice but the thematic stuff behind it won't really mean much if you get one token evil British Guy vs. hordes of German villains.
The idea's solid but the execution is so by the numbers.
It's not a western but Dead Man's Shoes takes a lot of the iconography you'd associate them and transports it to the North of England for a fucking harrowing revenge film.
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. And then the murders began.
God Orphan is such a shit name for the character, Blackbat wasn't great but at least it doesn't come across like they came up with it by quickly scanning the characters wiki page.
The Allreds handling Kirby crazy back in Marvel Now FF run was fantastic, their the perfect fit for Young Animal.
"What is Batman, but an attempt to master the chaos that sweeps our world" is a better understanding of the character than most of the Live Action Batman films.
Has Tynion got any better at writing Cass because his take on her has left me cold, the new alias doesn't help either.
Daredevil's focus on the overall plot leaves the writers blind to the basics of a single episode?
I mean earth three Superwoman is Lois Lane, just saying.
Nazi Cap feels like it should have been a six issue plot in SamCap, I really wanted to like Sam Wilson: Captain America more than I did but like you say it just seemed to ramble along going nowhere.
Young Animal's been great from the get go, Way's Patrol owes a lot to Morrison without feeling overly derivative and doesn't seem to be overly concerned with the recreating the original Patrol exactly like the preceding two runs.
Superman's good right now, better than it has been in a long time. Focusing on Clark and Lois raising a son gives it the sort of direction the various revamps of the last few years were painfully lacking.
He's done up like a "Flash with clip on armour" action figure, I'm not a fan of the DCEU's costumes as they are but his goes to a special level of awful.
Anytime I see John doing the budget Doctor Strange thing I always think of the "Bugger Me It's Still a Gun" bit http://www.tradereadingorde…
