I see what they’re getting at: the iOS 8.3 update added an “Apple Watch” icon to the home screen, which I guess I can see how someone could see that as an advertisement, even if I don’t find that argument particularly convincing.

At current usage rates, it would take California a quarter of a million years to use 1% of the volume of the oceans, assuming they had no other source of water and none of that water was ever returned to the oceans.

You could have written, “I believe the children are our future.” As for me, I believe I’ll go have lunch.

How literal does that belief need to be? I’ll sometimes speak of “Mother Earth” and speak of the earth or nature in spiritual terms, but I use them as metaphors and not literally. Do I believe in “Mother Earth?” or some guiding force of nature? No, not literally.

If this really were to be an apocalyptic event—and if I’m going to be alive when it happens—I hope I’m backpacking in somewhere in Wyoming, Montana, or Idaho when it does.

Apple doesn’t release that information, so unless someone is able to run some diagnostics on it, it’s unknown.

I prefer the time when students didn’t equate being corrected on their grammar and diction to corporeal punishment. But now everyone is a precious child, requiring trigger warnings so they don't get microaggressed.

Pig-Frog hybrids can’t be far behind.

Wrong. I’m a “delusional libertarian.”

Because you posted something so brain dead stupid, this was the most appropriate response.

First of all, my claim was that private enterprise could exist without NASA. I said nothing about government in general. If you believe that NASA is essential to private enterprise, it’s not me who is the idiot.

I guess you don't know where tax dollars come from, do you?

Private enterprise couldn't exist without NASA? How do you explain the thousands of years that preceded NASA then?

This reminds me of what the then-Palm CEO said about Apple’s prospects in the phone market:

Tell us, oh wise one, where do the R&D dollars come from? If I recall, they come from taxpayers, who are involved in profit seeking private enterprise. NASA could not exist without private enterprise. The opposite is not true.

I guess that means she and Bill made up.

They’ve got MP3 bras now? Women get all the cool technology!

I don’t think so; it says “capacity”, which is never a term I’ve heard used to describe throughput.

Half a terabyte, I do believe you mean. Half a gig would not be very impressive.
