As a veterinarian I have to say you are going to get pets killed with this blanket statement. This is akin to saying go ahead and treat COVID 19 with Ivermectin. There is nothing inherently wrong with dry food. Cats with chronic renal failure may benefit from a wet diet just to get more water in the body. Can a BARF…
I’m frankly a bit skeptical that this person’s vet told them that anything is better than dry food. That’s just straight up incorrect, and not information any veterinarian I know would be spreading.
My wife and I usually eat vegan/vegetarian stuff (occasional meat), but we definitely don’t eat Impossible stuff thinking it’s healthier. We eat it because there’s less of a negative impact on the environment, and also because it prevents animals from being killed.
Less cholesterol and better for the environment, for me. (Especially given the “accidental” fires in the Amazon at the moment, the desire to reduce my beef intake and limit the incentive to clear-cut more forest is especially on my mind recently.)
My thoughts exactly. I’m on board with celebrating at least one small victory. People can be angry over baby steps or the fact that they aren’t doing more, sure. But this is better than taking steps back? Better than doing nothing. Or maybe I’m just not jaded enough.
This article takes a snarky tone and all, but this is real, genuine progress. If the sales and purchase of firearms are removed from every day normalcy, and we remove open carry from every day places, gun ownership can and will be ostracized. This is an important step in the right direction.
I’m glad you asked:
The golden ring of hell.
Just ask is always best. My kid (non-verbal 7 yo) will give casual friends a high-five. But if shes comfortable with you, you can pick her up and legit squeeze her as hard as you can. It’s her favorite.
Don’t forget immunocomprimised adults too! I have a rare form of chronic leukemia and I’d really appreciate not getting measles and finding out the hard way what kind of long term shit it would do to my body. Hell, I got the flu last year from an irresponsible parent in my family and was shut down for a month.
Jesus fucking Christ enough with this logic bullshit. You’re not Mr Spock you’re a fucking stubborn edgelord who shat out a bad take and has failed to adequately defend it for the better part of a day.
I’ll be more succinct than the other people already dragging you.
You’re a fucking idiot.
One reason is that building the wall would be an environmental disaster. I’m appalled when people suggest that it is fine to waste 5 billion dollars of taxpayer money on a vanity project because “it’s not that much money”. That 5 billion would be better spent rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, fighting the…
Yeah I don’t think I know a single person who thinks the Dems should give an inch here - including those who didn’t get a paycheck today.
The first thing that popped into my head was that scene from the 1998 adaptation of Les Mis where Fontine (Uma Thurman) is in increasingly dire straits after being canned from the factory and the landlord comes knocking at her door for the rent. She’s in a tiny, bareass room, which honestly looks smaller and more…
Yeah, when I read that line about “the possibility of trading my services”, I heard 70s porn soundtrack in my head. (That might say more about what’s wrong with me than what’s wrong with those letters.)
And slumlords like Kushner.
Surprised they didn’t just flat out suggest offering sex in exchange for rent payment considering how f***ed up this administration is.
