Im with you. This is such an easy win for GM, the base engine is the 2.8 diesel which is even available here as well. Would have been pretty easy and smart given the popularity of the 4runner and JLU and the lack of competition generally. Just retool the body for the revised colorado chassis with modern safety

So much less hideous than everything else on the market here right now. Seriously, there are no good looking SUVs outside of Jeep. Someone give me SOMETHING to get excited about.

I wish it was like the Trailblazer that other countrys have. It’s just a Colorado with a SUV body. (imagine a ZR2 Trailblazer!) Which I guess Chevy didn’t want because it would eat into their Tahoe sales.

I can't believe I'd ever say this. But I miss when a Chevy Blazer was a Chevy Blazer.

No one is forcing anyone to buy something they can’t afford. And I’m not talking about predatory practices from lenders or shady dealers, that is a whole other story.

“How much for the cat?” -- Ralph Nader

God I hate that commercial. The bird one was kinda funny, but the cat one is just cruel.

Did you say cat pornography?

Things go badly enough, being one lane away really might not be enough:

Had you bought the car, I’m sure Subaru would have loved to put you in one of their commercials.

I bought a new Subaru a few years ago without getting jerked around by anyone at any point in the process.  It was bizarre.

I had an old Mazda B2200 pickup. It finally got to the point where it would no longer pass inspection so I put it on CL as “Trade for ?” and let it fly. Within 20 mins it was sold, my phone had been ringing off the hook the whole time. I decided to accept in trade a flatbed homemade trailer and an old snowmobile.

so thats even worse. then the money for roads, if it isn’t being used on subdivisions were the only work is being done, then its not being used at all for roads. Most going into pet projects like HSR and somehow funding Stadiums and special extensions to mass transit for those arenas

A flat use fee based on “other cars in the category” is bullshit. It penalizes people who don’t drive that much and rewards people who do. But I don’t have an alternative, but a flat fee is BS.

No on the state level. Low population states would take a severe hit to infrastructure spending due to a lack of funding.

The average Chevy Volt owner has an annual income of $175,000. Just because the car is affordable doesn’t mean it appeals to your Average Joes.

I know it’s popular on this site to just blindly bash everything done by Republicans, but surely I’m not the only one who likes everything about this bill?

Road maintenance grows on trees everyone!

California has a proposition to repeal the gas tax that was increased (I think around 12 cents/gal) earlier this year. I do believe that gas taxes need to be higher since in most cases they haven’t increased in years, and to keep up with inflation, they should.
