Why swap a Toyota V8 in to a BMW?

I’d want more than five minutes alone with this car.

So you might say the Pantera is...Far Beyond Drivin’?

This needs to happen. Weird vans with big eyes and whitewalls would make the world a better place.

For some reason, that made me look up Corrugated Metal. When it was invented, how it’s made, etc. The wikipedia article has an interesting tidbit:

The kit itself was designed as replacement panels that replace the stock pieces, complete with a louvered appearance that mimics the textured sides of the original.

You would look so cool while broken down at the side of the road

I remain baffled by what it’s doing there in the first place, and its mechanical history remains a total mystery to me.

I’m at the same place with this one. A Fiero that looked like a Fiero with that motor in it would be a hoot. The Fauxrarri treatment ruins it for me. It doesn’t help that the price is bonkers.

All replicas are pretty much automatically CP, except for the new Stratos, which can get it.

And about six times what an immaculate Fiero would go for. CP.

It’s not a complete shit box because it’s not his car.

First post and you aren't stuck in grey limbo?! This can't be Jalopnik, must've taken a wrong turn

As required every time someone makes a Neon post, here’s my now 290k mile daily!

...and since we are on the subject....

I try to avoid dealers at all cost. They usually manage to screw something up even when performing a warranty repair/recall.

What more do you want out of a machine?

I still remember the “Hi” marketing for this car. It was well done and really hit the aesthetic that the car had.

That’s not a good rule. Sometimes a cheap fix is just what the doctor ordered. One time I bought a full sized van for $600 (early 2000's). When I test drove it, it drove perfectly fine. I bought it, and came back that night to pick it up. ALL the lights were out. The next morning I drove to a nearby auto electrician.
