I’d also recommend Zinstall Backup. It saved my bacon from CryptoLocker a couple of weeks before.

I think you’d be better off doing a backup, wipe, recovery than that.

Zinstall Backup is very good for this. It is an image backup in essense, but the difference is that it can restore to a completely different hardware or different Windows (i.e. 7 to 10). Plus, it also acts as file backup, so you can restore single files if you want.
