Hey, I’m not a fan of grinding, but obviously just replaying a game is not going to satisfy somebody looking for end-game content. It’s like if you told somebody who thinks the story is too short to play the game again and the story will be twice as long. Making games fun to keep playing once you’ve mastered the

Do you understand that people are criticizing the review, not the game? The game seems fun despite some flaws, the review is a mess. Nic’s saying the review is doing the game a disservice and you tell him to go read other reviews? People are disappointed with this review because it oversells and underdelivers. Not

I feel the same way. I loved it because I worked to give the characters personalities, not because the game gave them any. Every new recruit got a personal shopping trip so I could figure out who they were. Give them their own style and they’re halfway to having a personality. Then you play them differently, not

I loved Legion’s NPC focus because it made the game different from all the other games where the hero is a unique all-important person the whole world has to revolve around. It’s so much cooler to go into a mission where your character can die, because they’re just one of many people working to overthrow their

It’s not a great season for the LA Valiant but apart from your team being bad I’m not sure what more you can ask for... Every hero is playable and played, the meta keeps shifting, teams that used to be bad having great seasons and vice-versa, monthly tournaments, it’s really been great.

I’m curious, what did you think of Mafia III? I usually hate revenge storylines, but Lincoln Clay’s story really motivated me to take over New Orleans from all those racist bastards. I would never have finished it if it was just some Italian dude that got screwed over by some other Italian dudes.

You will only be matched against PC players if you’re in a group including at least one PC player.

They’ve always said that OW1 PvP and OW2 PvP will be the exact same experience, same engine, same heroes, everything. When OW2 releases, OW1 will get a patch essentially making it OW2 without PvE. So if OW2 is 5v5, so is OW1. I’m sure they’ll keep 6v6 around as an alternate mode, as they did when they enabled role

You literally just described the subreddit HobbyDrama... I hope you’re subscribed or you’re missing out on a lot of fun!

There are two major good points about going to 5v5. First, the tank player base is way smaller than the DPS and support player base, so 2-2-2 means everybody else has to wait longer for a game. 1-2-2 will speed up queue times tremendously.

That’s just not true. They’ve said from the start that PvP would have big changes in OW2 and that those changes would also come to OW1. They don’t want to split the player base. Only PvE will be different.

That kind of reminds me of the end of Fallout 4 where I decided both sides were nutso, let them choose how to ruin the world on their own and went back to help the Minutemen save farmers from Super Mutants.

How is it selling out? I’m confused... it was live in North America and not in China when the Covid situation was reversed, I’m sure they’d like to be live everywhere, no?

Ah, right! I remember now that it became clearer further on in my first playthrough that SAM was what made Ryder a Pathfinder... The writing in the first part always makes it sound like Pathfinder is a mystical talent instead of a neural link to an AI. Thanks for reminding me that they end up halfway justifying it

That’s actually my point. Ryder is not Sheppard, but everybody treats him or her like one because “Pathfinder”. I got to the station on my second playthrough and realized all these very important, trained and qualified people were waiting around doing nothing until a “Pathfinder” came long to lead everything. And

Andromeda’s biggest flaw is the concept of a Pathfinder being an actual thing. It’s like they wanted to make you The Chosen One like in Inquisition but forgot that without magic it doesn’t make any goddamn sense. Every time these powerful people who’ve been waiting and doing nothing for a year turn to me for advice,

For me it’s Watch Dogs: Legion. Just got it during the free weekend and it’s exactly what I hoped it would be. I love recruiting based on appearance / perceived personality. I just did a mission to get an Albion operative who was being sexually harrassed by her boss. I know it’s all randomly generated bullshit, but

Yeah, he explained what happened. Basically info for items is in a JSON file. The algorithm used to process that file was super inefficient, but it didn’t matter so much because there weren’t too many items. That’s probably why it passed QC in the first place. But as the game kept growing and items getting added, it

Think about it, every ticket they give out is a game that’s filled up quicker because somebody played a role that was needed. Every single ticket helps someone get to play DPS faster. It just won’t be you unless you’re wiling to do your part to enable quicker games.

Wait, are you sure about that? I’ve definitely enjoyed leveling up in games with good skill trees. It’s fun unlocking cooler and more powerful skills and the fact I don’t have them instantly me makes explore and have fun with lower-level skills I might never have used. I like the feeling of my character growing more
