Dog’s even got the white “gloves”.

Call me old-fashioned but I miss the days when a few knobs and buttons controlled HVAC and music. You know, like stuff you didn’t have to fucking look at to use. Fuck touchscreens.

These are all the buttons for the radio in my Mazda 2. There does not need to be any more.

Even though touch screens in cars are almost always ugly and dumb looking, I’m OK with having a touch screen to operate a radio, because I never ever use a radio in a car and if I ever get in a car and turn it on and the radio starts bleating away I curse like a sailor and stab wildly at the “off” button and then

I want to tell her to calm down but then I think about the seething existential rage I experience at people that walk three wide in hallways and amble, or left lane hogs, or people that take too long to use the sugar/cream station at Starbucks, or people that forgot the form at the Post Office, or try and get on the

Photos or it didn’t happen.

I heard a commercial for  “Human Capital Management Software” - I shuddered in the car. That’s all we are. Capital. Gains and losses. Lines on a spreadsheet, easily struckthrough when needed.

“The corporate world is very up front with what it considers people to be. Human resources. Livestock.”

Better to be livestock than disposable tools, *ahem US military.* Once you are broken you are thrown out and replaced.

I suppose a better way to phrase it would have been “societal wasteland,” but it’s the collective lack of social graces to which I refer.

As an engineer, this is a very, very disturbing precedent.

Not true. Pyscho ex-gf is a valid defence in Florida. Her only mistake was it wasn’t his car.

salary is only reasonable compensation for us lower lifeforms working the floors..... get high up enough on the food chain and salary is just your turning up fee... hell they will pay you a couples years of salary just to sack you if you get high enough :p
