The real point here is that people were not prepared in school to be able to recognize the most basic financial scams and to have even rudimentary financial skills. That basically they have been left in a state where if they had not taken action on their own to learn they could call victim to financial predators.

You under estimate an old school Chicago light pole. Those things have zero give, no break away bolts. They will f’ a car up at even relatively low speed. Cutting a typical speed estimate in half would be a good start for an old green Chicago light pole.
