All MickyD’s needs to do is go back to serving fresh, real food like they did in the 50s and 60s. Even their 1970s norms would be a vast improvement.

So let’s equalize everyone in poverty and misery? It’s not likely what you meant but it is what I hear when someone makes the argument but there are people worse off over there. They are worse off because of the political and financial systems they live under.

I accept there may have been some cross over before everything was switched and inventory ran out, but the ones pictured look way older than the 80's. Mine is kinda sleek looking and was made in France.

The bikes metal, the lights plastic.

I got my first adult sized bike in 1982. I still have the lights. Plastic. Chrome plastic and a piece of sheet metal on the headlamp. The generator body case was plastic too and it broke. I have generator from my brother’s bike which is metal. the lights for it were cheap plastic

Nobody in my neighborhood had lights on a typical kids bike. And when we moved to 10 and 12 speed bikes around 5th grade only a few of us had lights. The idea of all the kids having a light on their bikes and then the same older model one is well... odder than the lens color.

You still have a reading comprehension problem.

How much do autobody men make in China? $7200 for that?

just a word of note, if there’s one electric car that’s more crony capitalist than Muskmobiles it’s the Nissan Leaf. I haven’t tallied the score recently but the leaf got a lot of support from government.

That explains it. Q-jets are complicated, especially before the computer control. I bought a book on qjets, read it, and then used it as my guide. Without it the instructions in the kit would have been misleading. A extra $15 as a 17 year for the book would have been out of the question, but I was older and $15 was

“but why is this a jalopnik thing?”

I have had no issues with Qjets. The computerized one I rebuilt suffered from the usual maladies of age and grime and once cleaned and rebuilt worked flawlessly.

It’s even better with three on the tree.

That piece, that five garden hose fitting, makes the arguments against using the hydrant moot. It reduces the flow and what you have is the same as what comes out of the pipe in any of the homes or businesses on that block. Back pressure is maintained so there is no hammering from too quick a shut off or opening of

nm

For a few hours there’s likely no need for filters and chlorine.

Differential pressure. Any water that gets past the liner on to the dumpster surfaces won’t likely make it back to the “swimming” side of the liner. The pressure of the water on the liner will keep it going on it’s journey out of the dumpster. Now stepping in the water on the street in bare feet.... well now there’s

Now playing

I can’t believe I didn’t think of this earlier:

Wait a minute here.... you lived in an apartment complex that gave you over ten days (over a week plus 3 days) and a possible extension beyond that to complete a project where the car was left in an obviously crippled state? You need to put that place as the most favorable to wrenching apartment complex ever because
