Sometimes a humid glove box is exactly what you need. Especially if you’re the type of guy who enjoys a quality cigar on the road. Rolls Royce has you covered. I would imagine the other luxury marques have similar options. https://www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com/en_US/boutique/all-accessories/humidor-in-glove-box.html

This is good news. Offering a family hauler that doesn’t need gas at this price point will be a huge success for the company that does it first.

Or maybe I actually meant what I said about reallocating funds. Police departments don’t need MRAPs. It’s not so crazy to think police should receive training so they can properly deal with citizens in their charge.

Scroll up and read my comment again. See if you can find the word “abolish”.

Are you suggesting we take funds that were allocated for police departments and redirect them to other services that help the public? That sounds suspiciously like the argument made by the “defund the police” crowd.

First thought without reading the article: What speed are those tires rated for? After reading: Do I need street luge boots to stop? I can think of better ways to die on two wheels.

Someone needs to get to the bottom of this. Sounds like a job for...

Unfortunately, as I’m sure you’ve heard, Jason is no longer around to tell you anything about it.

This is a ridiculous comparison and you know it. Seat heater elements are installed in the seat at the factory. Making the customer pay for them at the dealership is one thing. Making the customer pay to use them after the fact is just plain WRONG.

Gentlemen, say hello to the second base mobile.

Or! Or! We can vastly expand the no-fly list to include people incapable of behaving themselves in polite society.

Only do this if you can wait out the market and do not need the car. Take the gain, invest it and continue making payments to yourself through investments and, when you're ready, buy another car when the market has settled and cars are once again plentiful. You can't trade up unless you have a lock on the car you want

Having an odometer is always relevant. Your odo may have 25k on it, but it WORKS. Even if the odometer isn’t accurate for the engine in place, you need to know how many miles have elapsed so you can stay on top of maintenance. The seller should have fixed it and noted the inaccurate odo on the title. A broken odometer

A lot has been mentioned here already - Stereo/entertainment, suspension, tires, etc. No one has addressed basic comfort. Years ago I bought an old K5 Blazer that was beat to hell but mechanically solid. It wasn’t very comfortable, so I bought a sheepskin seat cover and MAN did that make a world of difference.

Can’t answer that. I don’t own a Genesis, but my father does. He drove to Wisconsin to test it, but this was at least a year ago. Maybe two. Not every Hyundai dealer sells the Genesis line. Covid almost certainly created that sales practice.

Whenever I see some guy wearing or using Ferrari labeled merch, all I think is “That guy wishes he owned a Ferrari”

Counterpoint - I have a Porsche Design laserflex wedding ring. It’s a single piece of aluminum laser cut into three pieces that are interlaced so they don’t fall apart, but they do move. It’s my single favorite piece of jewelry.

I like this idea, but I’m not sure it’ll work in execution - especially in this this market. If you’re going to pour a ton of money into R&D to make a car, it’d be smart to put it into a high performance EV. Then the question becomes “what kind of car do we make?” because a luxury electric GT may not have broad appeal

Predatory? No. This isn’t a loan. Lease contracts are cut and dried and the consumer is the one who has to consider long term ramifications of their decisions. Simply put, if it’s a long term commitment, you should have a way to write it off as an expense. Renting a little apartment for some stuff you’re not using
