It wasn’t intended to be that way. The twitter link is a screenshot of that comic on Inman’s Facebook feed with an offer from FB to “boost” the exposure of his comic CRITICIZING their business practices for a mere $2000.

My brother replaced a computer in his law firm and I enlisted my nephew for data destruction. Handed him a hammer and the old drive and told him to go out back and not to come inside until he could see the spindle inside the casing. (He wears glasses so no other safety equipment needed)

Right there with you on brussels sprouts. My family went out to a vegetarian restaurant that served some kind of baked brussels sprouts. They were smashed so the leaves were practically falling off. They ate like potato chips. My wife makes a version of these now. The trick is driving out the moisture so they’re

The next generation of self checkout will be the elimination of the checkout counter. Instead of scanning a SKU, all the products (and customers!) are tagged with RFID chips. Shopping is simple: Walk in, take what you want and leave.

You keep telling yourself that. Buskers and panhandlers are nowhere to be found when I’m stuck in traffic. How I wish more people would take a smelfie before they leave home.

Mr. Reed’s song is rather prescient as well.

Counterpoint: There aren’t enough parking spaces.

I bet you’re a blast at parties. <snark>People don’t speak or write with HTML tags</snark>

This mirror’s my feeling about Shake Shack coming to Chicago. They have a great location outside a movie theater and people were lining up out the door. It wasn’t that great. This may be fighting words for some, but I didn’t find anything distinctive about it. Big cities have come with a lot of burger choices and

I’ve seen these rants before. While I should not have to apologize for my son’s discomfort during the flight, it’s certainly nice to have ear plugs handy for the folks around me so THEY are more comfortable if it happens. A bit of candy, some ear plugs and a nice note for your immediate neighbors - while completely

The avocados you bought at the grocery store probably came into the country with a shipment of illegal drugs. I’m not going to stop eating guac over this. Did Pellegrino sexually harass women on his staff? Any inappropriate groping? If so, will you come over and make our arrabiata from scratch and clean up afterward?

HA! I edited my first comment and completely left out how the store stopped carrying it. I can see how you thought that, but the Rao’s comment was a little clue.

Yup. Just like everybody else. Batali made a good pasta sauce. Pellegrino makes a better one. I just hope that he isn’t the same human garbage as Batali becuase all the other brands I tried were terrible by comparison.

You have a valid point.

His arrabiata sauce went well in my wife’s lasagna - one of a handful of dishes I’m learning to make without help. It was a struggle to find a good replacement.

As I recall, it was serviceable. Palatable mediocrity. Meh. We were hungry. We didn’t want to eat at the park’s concession stands and we had a long drive to downtown Chicago on the interstate so there was nothing to stop at on the way. There were other choices in Gurnee, but I’d recently re-watched Harold & Kumar and

I’m sure there are wonderful applications for this. I don’t think the Safelite guy is going to have a laser in his van.
