Along with the high beltlines for crash survivability and mandates requiring reverse cameras on every car, rearward vision is no longer a priority in styling design. You can still see what’s behind you when you’re on the road, but you don’t have to turn around to back up anymore. Even the Miata has a reverse camera.

I had a TL. Same vintage. It’s not just a good looking car. They’re very well made. Had mine for 150k miles. Aside from the consumables, the only thing it needed was gas, tires and oil. I miss it.

I have yet to drive an automatic car with paddle or tiptronic-type shifters that I ever cared to use. I can think of a few occasions of hill driving where I wanted the car to hold a gear where the feature was useful. You are correct in that people like this exist, but not that a large portion of the nation likes him. Whenever you see a poll showing that Trump enjoys 80, 90 or more percent support from Republicans, that’s a poll of people who have declared party affiliation. Last I checked, that’s about 27%.
