I remember something about Infiniti having a single network bus to control different aspects of the car. From a maintenance standpoint, putting everything on a network for control and status should make maintenance much easier. But then they can’t bill thousands of hours to the customer to support said arcane system.

I totally do. I got my Miata back in 91. Other than the exterior color, first gen Miatas did not have much variety. You could have any color interior you wanted as long as it was black. I think even the british racing green special edition had a black interior. (Correction - Tan interior, but the top was still black)

Funny. That’s exactly what the dyno technician said. I’m reducing my final drive ratio to get little more links between gears out of the transmission.

On my last dyno run, I ran 12psi of boost for 298hp at the wheels.

I have a 91. Swapped in a rebuild ‘94 long block 1.8. I added a Flyin Miata Turbo. The big one - 3071R. 3" exhaust from end to end. Lots of interior mods. A new FM suspension with 2001 Sport Package brake retrofit.

25 year owner here. I spent two years living in Vail. I know what you mean. As fun as that car is to shift, you’re doing it constantly in the mountains. Happily, the B6 & BP engines in the NA/NB cars are pretty much boost-ready. An extra 50 hp makes a huge difference for mountain passes. That turbo kit is the best…
