Well, I guess I’ll have to take your word that the video shows a gun. Or I could read what the police chief said earlier:

Please, link us this video proving he has a gun. I’ll wait here.

Are you sure that allowing police to shoot anyone for the sole reason that they are visibly armed is really the direction you want this to go?

If you choose to focus on looting over the message of the protestors, you are saying you are more interested in the value of property than the value of people’s lives.

No, ass, the police dept should release the video and remove all doubt. Black people feel like they’re going crazy because seemingly every police shooting that’s caught on camera still ends up as a whodunit mystery, while ppl like yourself concentrate on A) irrelevant details or B) whatever story the police dept. is

We should get to see the video, so we don't have to "believe" anyone. And if he didn't have a gun, then the rest of his criminal history is irrelevant. Hence, why the video matters.

It’s gotten to the point where, if you were making a Hollywood film about a corrupt state legislature and its governor and you used NC and McCrory as your inspiration, the studio would say “Whoa, tone it down some. Noone would ever believe a state government in the US can be this evil and corrupt”

We wouldn’t want to mislead and misinform the public by producing video evidence that contradicts the official story.

Surely we can trust that the party that refuses to release evidence that could exonerate them is telling the truth.

North Carolina’s government is fucking insane.

You have a large portion of the public who believe the shooting was done without a gun present, just a book. Wouldn’t releasing the video at least justify your actions a bit?

Agreed. Nothing fishy about this at all.

Oh, well, if the police said that is what happened, that is good enough for me. I am sure the public will be extremely understanding about they can't see the video for themselves. Very good.

Ever get the feeling that the police may be operating in their own interest rather than the public’s?

Well there’s the press conference Trent Dilfour wanted. I’m sure he’s going to cover it in-depth and use it to launch his own movement on fighting police brutality.

RICHARD SHERMAN: Let’s talk about the racial divide in this country...
SPORTS REPORTERS: Actually, we’re angry that Seahawk players don’t talk about stupid shit to us!

“Also, I was trying to get our entire team to follow Kap’s protest and would have except our chickenshit QB thought it would be bad for his advertising value to say anything of interest about anything controversial.”

This is an excellent take that will be drowned out by rocket fuel-level takes from fans and talking heads alike real soon. So I will applaud this before the avalanche of hate-fueled and/or point-missing retorts comes, in and out of the league.
