Safe bet that it will have an upgraded drivetrain over the 3.5L V6 they’ve been using since 2016. Most likely they’ll add a hybrid setup then use that powertrain also in the 6th gen 4Runner.

Losing the hybrid system is a rule / requirement of the series they’re racing it in.

I’m 100% on-board with the Lexus LC being a future collectable. Matt Farah on Smoking Tire said as much. It is likely the last best gas-only car to come out of Japan.  It’s all hybrids / electric from here on out.

I’m not sure if it’s $2-3k but considering my last car purchase still took 4 hours even though I walked into the dealer knowing the exact car I wanted with minimal negotiating, I’d probably pay more to not have to deal with that.

I live in Denver but it’s hard to get to Ouray / Silverton and be back in a day. We can do Buena Vista, Crested Butte etc area in a long day but otherwise the San Juans take a long weekend. So we go up most often for the large Toyota / FJ Cruiser event in Ouray each July.
