Side-opening door is better if you want to mount a spare tire on it (FJ Cruiser). The stock spare tire space on a 5th gen 4Runner (‘10-’21+) under the deck barely fits the stock tire, nevermind if you go up in size. That’s the main benefit.

The GX’s are full-time AWD so the center diff locks, not the rear.  They don’t really have a lot of options to choose from, I think the center locker is standard on all of them.

February or March 2020, yeah. I’ve been to some smaller ones since, but the big one in Lafayette is the best. There’s usually a few NSXs, mine is the only blue one I’ve seen there.

The Lafayette one was the biggest/best in my opinion.  Great / large location, PD presence to keep the stupidity down.  Not sure when it’s coming back, I think either the property owner or Boulder County doesn’t want such a large gathering yet.

I was at a Cars&Coffee event in Golden, Colorado hosted by a well-known collector car insurance company. Nice folks, they put on a great event.
