I'm curious if this will only work with Gmail, or if it will work with pop/imap accounts as well. It could be a really nice way to basically self-host a Gmail alternative if you're uncomfortable with having all your stuff on their servers.

A tip for those that might run into the same problem that I did: make sure to set your resolution inside the virtual machine to at least 1024x768, otherwise most of the programs on the new Metro UI won't launch at all.

I had the same issue, starting late yesterday; however, I tracked it down to being an OpenDNS issue. Disabling their proxy and autocorrect feature fixed it, as reported by users on their forums there.
