Seeing Jimmy Fallon reminds me that I don’t find him funny in the least.
“It makes sense that, as the years go by and technology improves, Formula One cars would get exponentially faster”
Several recent BMW products require you to jack up the vehicle(F10 chassis for example), remove under paneling and turn a bolt on the side of the transmission to engage neutral override for towing. Even for ICE cars, its not always easy...
The purpose of subsidy is to incentivize certain behaviors. They are inherently political.
Unions, or the equivalent power on the side of the workers vs those that have power to crush workers, should be supported.
UAW? Universally Awful Workers!!! I hear they’re all pedos too.*
I love Tesla cars and what they’ve done to push EV adoption but their track record on unions and forcing employees to work during the pandemic without proper precautions is bullshit and proof that unions are a necessary component of the process.
Milk?!
cow milk is gross and the way it is produced horrifies me, so yep, no milk for me.
This. I almost fell asleep a couple times. Loved the Green Knight scenes but the rest was just boring. Sorry, was super stoked for it but left bummed.
Well... it was pretty, if just too dark most of the time. It’s obviously all allegorical, but if you aren’t familiar with the poem (and possibly even if you are) there are no clues to the meaning in the movie itself. After reading an interview with Lowery in Variety, this movie was made for himself, and if you aren’t…
It was an OBVIOUS push off and an unusual dirty move deliberately to gain a 25 pt advantage. Even with a 1 race ban, if Max did not win that, it would have been worth it for LH. Admittedly LH is not that dirty usually but this was a clear deliberate dirty move.
The only problem with that is that Verstappen’s racing line left more than a car’s width open towards the apex. Had Hamilton not overcooked it and understeered wide, there would have been no contact and Ham would likely have made the pass.
There’s the mental aspect, if Max stars backing off every time Hammy shows him a wheel (even when he’s got the corner!), then Hamilton will show him a wheel every corner.
Hamilton didn’t try - that’s the point. He wasn’t ahead of Max - he wasn’t even alongside him going into the turn. The point of the rules is that the driver ahead (Max) doesn’t need to back off because he has the right to the racing line.
First lap or last lap, it shouldn’t matter - the attacking driver holds the responsibility to attempt to pass in a safe manner and yield if they can’t - in this case (and cases before) Hamilton failed in that regard.
Lewis needs to learn the rules - he didn’t have the corner, he was behind. He had plenty of room on the inside but chose a line that wasn’t ever going to close to the inside. He’s done this to Albon in the past to great success. It’s his M.O. at this point - a cheap pit maneuver that bumps his rivals out of the race…
It’s also not the first time Lewis has made this move - and always comes out on top...and never gets penalized for it.
Unfortunately Lewis is F1's cash cow - doubly so at F1's biggest (by attendance) race which is also Hamilton’s home race.
The main problem here is that on the line Hamilton was taking, and at the point he braked, he wouldn’t have made the corner. You can see after he hits Verstappen that he doesn’t even come close to making the corner in any meaningful way. He deliberately overcooked the corner knowing he’d run into Max.
