They didn't water it down for Republican support though. They watered it down for Democrat support. That's not a broken system, it's a broken party.

Lot’s of comments about personal views of vehicles, but the most important point was the first paragraph:

Same. The kids complaining about how Jalop has changed from (I assume?) the Patrick George days have no idea.

McDonalds is bad for society, should we ban them?”

Pickup trucks are being used as everyday transportation so they should meet the exact same standards for fuel efficiency as other passenger vehicles. The government has created incentives for this arms race by having easier regulations for “light trucks”. Fix the incentives and maybe things will come back into balance.

No kidding. I’ve been here FIFTEEN YEARS...

Over the past 40 or so years, our country has deferred maintenance on the road system because taxes bad, gas must be cheap and freedom. We’ve also systematically cut almost all the strings to our safety nets, deregulated everything we could get away with and what we’ve ended up with is a world where honestly, Trucks

Where did anyone say anything about banning them? That’s a pretty knee-jerk reaction.

The utility trailer I got for $200, have tucked in my back yard, and have lifetime registration on means I do not need to drive a truck every day to work.

If a truck buyer honestly defends their purchase, I think most of us would move on with life. The problem is the truck buyers who are defending their God-given right to do whatever they want with no regard for the society they exist within and impact. This is not about trucks; it is about selfishness.

It’s not an accurate claim.

The maximum level 2 charging rate is determined by the vehicle, since the inverter is inside the car. Level 3 (or DCFC) chargers have the inverter located outside the car (thus they’re delivering DC straight to the battery).

Further, it takes far different skills, as well as manual labour. The funny thing with retail and food service is, some think it doesn’t take physical exertion. It’s hauling a skid’s worth of fine leather or 2 cases of beer at a time up 3 flights of stairs, 6 times over, because there is no service elevator and your

She’s not naïve. She’s rich. She did what any rich person would have done in that situation. It’s cold as fuck, I’m going to Cancun to the Ritz for some spa time. Notice who came back. NOT HER. Fuck you, Ted, you’re the one that wants to run for president, you go there. I’m staying here with my rich ass.

You underestimate how little the wealthy class thinks they will ever be held to account for anything.

You may, but many potential buyers don’t have that luxury. There’s not an authorized Tesla service center in my entire state. On the other hand I have four Chevrolet dealers within a forty mile radius.

Do you own a Bolt and a Tesla?

We’ve had one issue and one recall with our Bolt in nearly 2 years of ownership. I got an appointment for the recall within two days of calling about it, it was done while I waited in less than 25 minutes, in and out.

The one issue was a faulty module causing an intermittent failure of

Quit pretending everyone lives in California. In a lot of places, there are no service centers and the mobile fleet is relatively far away. It’s not easy for everyone to get service.

I would take exception to calling a Tesla a luxury vehicle.
