I understand, but on the other hand, if a mod has been on a popular mod website for years without any takedown notices or issues, is it that hard to see imagine someone thinking it’s basically already been reviewed? This is the same company that spent like a decade on “Cyberpunk” before they had any idea what they

Have you ever worked anywhere? The idea that there was any sort of tightly controlled or thought out process clashes with every life experience I have. Almost everything is thrown together by people doing as little work as they can get away with. Why would CDPR spend the money and time to create a detailed complex

Personally, we now charge for free at most shopping centers we go to and haven’t paid a cent for fuel since July. Before that we were paying 12 cents per kwh, or about a quarter of the cost of the gas car we replaced even at 2020 gas prices. Our experience isn’t typical, but I’d argue that the source here is trying

It’s OBVIOUS. Like so obvious it’s the only thing I remember from that movie. Like ruined my entire ability to even notice there was a movie going on behind the awful ADR/dubbing bad.

The literal only thing I remember about that movie is how awful she was. the faked, digitally altered audio on every line she spoke is the only thing I took away from that film. No idea if it was good or bad, just the conclusion that if she owned a local business, Carano shouldn’t even be allowed to be in her own

Right? Like she got her shot in Haywire and was so painfully bad. Like couldn’t do ADR at all so the final audio of her lines was clearly frequently slowed down, sped up and otherwise altered just to create a “releasable”  product. How she ever got hired to act again is beyond me.

This was my takeaway too, dude looks 40 for sure.

Already got free Wi-Fi on one of my flights last week, so assumed I had missed this announcement . I have a subscription I share with friends/family, but on one of the flights it just asked for my skymiles number and connected without logging in to our GoGo Wi-Fi account. Glad they’re finally making free Wi-Fi happen,

No need for the insults. We’re talking about different things. You’re talking about short shuttle service, I’m talking about long haul bus lines. That coach you don’t mind for 100 minutes is like how a regional jet isn’t bad for 100 minutes (we’ll just have to agree to disagree that a 4-across coach is somehow nicer

I fly first class on Delta. There are no not-shit busses. The fundamental reality is a motorcoach must be cramped, loud, and smelly. 4 seats and an aisle in a space barely wider than a suburban? Not gonna be fun. RV chemical toilet used by 40 plus people? It’s gonna get full or clogged. Show me anyone running a bus

Many places do a good job. In hindsight, it should have been obvious that trains need to connect to airports, but oil and car companies really did a great job convincing society that the car was the best, logical future for transport. I love cars, but they’re shit for transport. They’re fun to work on, sound cool, fun

Must be nice. That’s not what greyhounds or megabuses are like, and there are far worse busses (chinatown bus anyone?). two Amtrak seats are literally wider than the entire passenger cabin of a coach, there’s no why cramming yourself into a seat on a motorcoach with a restroom that inevitably stinks up the whole place

Definitely with you. A proper rail system could replace all the “spokes” in the “hub and spoke” airline model. Airports should be required to be connected to high speed rail and regional transportation systems, and any “flight” under 500 miles should be a 300+ kph rail journey. Not going to happen because as a society

The sad truth is even a plane ordered for 2030 delivery is a quicker solution than building out a rail network. Even if airlines were able to think beyond the plane, it would cost more and take longer to implement better solutions. We need at least an interstate highways act sized federal response to even start

Better than United or American is a low bar though, neither of them are actually airlines. Seriously they make their money selling miles to credit card companies and only operate the planes at a loss so the miles have value.

This. The last time there was really an Antarctic cruise season was 2019-2020, so there’s never really been a tik-tok Antarcitc cruise season before. Add in the rogue wave incident recently and you’ve got plenty of ingredients to cook an algorithmic hot spot.

Feels more and more like we’re going to end up nostalgic for the era when shows at least got DVD releases. A few years ago I never would have imagined that. Wild! And not in a good way.

You’re not an idiot. The drake passage is no joke. Only place in the world I’ve ever been seasick, and we didn’t have anything like a rouge wave to worry about!

So can we charge daylight savings time and finally give the “Fall Back” a death sentence? Someone was extra drowsy the week after the clocks made 5am effectively an hour earlier and now 25 people are hurt. While I’d prefer a perpetual 8pm or later sunset, I don’t really care all that much how we set the clocks as long

I think the biggest issue is how few drivers there are in F1 at all. 20 drivers with an average career of 5+ years means we at best get 4 new entries per year. Should 2 of those be women? Yes. But realistically there are dozens of drivers who deserve those >4 spots per year, and plenty who already raced looking for a
