Do you honestly believe you’d see as much coverage of the “bulletproof” features of truck if the windows didn’t break? I don’t.

Wait until the actual vaportruck specs and pricing come out, probably more like 2024 and decide then. This thing is just a BS hype exercise at this point, wouldn’t go making any plans based on it. Unless you feel like your “$35000” model 3 was delivered on time and at the promised cost, in which case there’s no hope

But it’s not a launch. That’s the issue I have. It was an unveiling of a far-from-production concept coupled with some aspirational specs for a car that is at best 2 years from production. It’s just BS hype to keep Tesla in the news. The kind of stuff a company that’s been making cars for over a decade shouldn’t need

What does a tag line making fun of sports news have to do with editorial independence? Are you being intentionally dense? Can’t engage with this level of stupid. Bye

It’s not remotely that simple. By tradition, necessity and a union contract, the editorial and management/ownership/revenue are independent. It’s a very hard line to maintain sometimes but without it we lose journalism and have only propaganda. This is how journalism and a free press must work. This means that the

Was is plugged in to a 10amp circuit? Sounds like charging speed for an 8amp charge. You need to find at least a 15amp circuit/portable charger, which most garages should have. Then ~30 in ~8 hours is no trouble at all. But spend the money on the 240 charger, it changed my life and is paying itself off so fast!

I had to run all new wiring to a detached garage. All in including a charger was less than $3000. And I save almost $5 a day at current gas prices having an electric car. So it’ll pay for itself in less than 2 years. Yes, I know we don’t all have a way to spend a couple grand up front, but it’s so worth it!

I think the alfas just fell behind this year, Kimi was consistently low points scoring then they both dropped off the map. Seems more like car/team competitiveness than the driver to me

And looks like I guessed wrong, but the real answer is even better than anything I could come up with, Paul Maidment failing to be anonymous

This would be so fun, and hopefully is in our near future! I can’t wait

Think they had authors originally but yeah that’s weird. If I had to guess it’s either freelancers asking not to be associated anymore or protecting the identity of scabs after that twitter stuff with the other freelancer yesterday who was convinced to stop writing for deadspin after one post.

Deadspin RIP? The visible name is deleted, but can still be accessed here:

I’m still waiting on FCA to create a “Jerrari” like Bill Harrah’s. Until that happens, no reason to hope for anything else as well

But viewers will see tires that look like what they need for their far crossover, so in the end maybe it’s a wash. We currently see lots of pirelli logos on “weird shaped” tires that fail after an hour or less, that can’t be the best look to put out to people who don’t understand that the degradation is intentional so

This makes sense. Just must have jumped to conclusions that taking it into the chassis/suspension was a net negative rather than a positive, since lower profile road tires are objectively a negative over high profile ones. God I hate the stock 245/40r20s on my car!

I have no clue what I’m talking about on the technical merits, never tried to imply otherwise. I just regurgitated things I’ve read many times before that I thought were absolute accepted truths. Sorry.

I guess if I rephrased it I’d say it’s not so much someone who doesn’t know about cars, but someone who doesn’t have any skill with subtlety, proportions, sense, or aesthetics. The render comes across very “people like big wheels on oversized crossovers, so they must look good on very low race cars!!11!1” specifically

I don’t feel bad about calling stylish oversized wheels rims. Sorry not sorry.

Yep, I was definitely going off of articles like this, glad to learn either the articles or the guys replying to me are misinformed, currently seems like the “dampers are better at suspension than tires” crowd makes sense, but until today I had heard the other side so often that I just assumed it was a widely known

Seen them. None of them look good. Also, definitely meant open wheel, so the LMP usage isn’t really what I meant but that’s 100% my bad.
