it was absolutely “hipster A/F.” No organization at all, but a great spot to get a filtered cell phone photo of your ‘super sweet’ $1500 car for its own instagram account.

I’m glad you felt this was a successful event. I drove several hours to attend and after several hours at the track had seen no evidence of any sort of organization or community. I purchased a ticket to the radwood part, yet never found anyone to get the silly little paper sign for my car from or show my ticket to, I…
Ok, so you’re clearly a poor attempt at trolling, but how hard is it to understand this ultra simplified version:
Yeah, but most versions tend to sound like “... and put up a fucking lie” don’t they? I remember how shocked I was when I first heard it on the radio as a kid!
I just saw one of these in the Reno-Tahoe Airport terminal an hour ago. I’m suddenly a huge fan. I didn’t even know it existed and don’t even need to read the review, it’s just cool.
What variation of the Busso do you have? I’ve got several 12V single cam Bussos and have always been told they are interference engines, though I’ve never cared to test for myself! I can’t imagine the dual cam 24v variants are any diferent
The Giulia has been rough reliability wise, for sure. The development was so rushed it was unavoidable. Really a shame, I wanted to like one enough to buy and drive when my older Alfas are broken down in the garage, and I haven’t been able to get there mentally yet.
I guess that’s possible, though I definitely read it as a suggestion to look into driving a 4c cheap on lease.
Happy to help. $10,000 deprecation/36 months = $277.78 per month lease cost.(!?!) That was his whole thing. Kinda scary that someone seems to assume that’s how a lease is calculated.
Thanks. I also didn’t intend to be offensive. I brought it up because unlike a lot of the truly lazy and thoughtless comments about Alfa’s reputation for unreliability, I really liked and agreed with what you had to say about this car and its price. Just felt the gratuitous assumption of unreliability detracted from…
Yeah, great stereotype largely based on cars from at least a generation ago. Not saying the 4c or any modern Alfa is or isn’t more reliable than other comparable cars, as I don’t even have anecdotal evidence either way, just reminding you that coming out here with the a lame thoughtless stereotype you’ve heard before…
He didn’t find that offer, just assumed that the lease amount would be exactly equal to the apparent depreciation thus far, as defined be the asking price of a few used cars listed. It’s a hugely flawed assumption. You will definitely pay well over twice his estimate if you actually look for a lease for this car, as…
Who are these people? I know just about no one who actually wants to drive on a regular basis. Hell, most of them feel owning a car is a chore. In my personal experience, most people would rather have an easy autodriving rideshare than deal with any of the hassles of driving and owning a car.
My thoughts exactly! I’m obsessed with transaxle alfa V6s, I have a pile of Milanos and spare parts in my garage, but I could never see mysef paying more than about $25k for anything on this platform, even though I love the hell out of this car.
Random, but this is not at all the only one in the US. It seems almost every SZ/RZ from Japan (and likely a few from Europe) has come over here in the last couple years. $60k is super steep for this though. Other than the polarizing design, it’s very similar to a Milano Verde underneath, which is a really nice car,…
Coffee is affordable? What planet are you on? If it’s more than 50¢, your coffee is an absolute luxury. Also, want to know a good place to do work without spending more than many can afford on food all day for a ‘coffee’ to earn the privilege of sitting down? Try your local library! It’s free. Assuming that $5 or so…
I have two ‘complete’ 2.5L Alfa RomeoMilanos (an ‘89 gold, and an ‘87 platinum) As well as just about every part needed to build a third (owner of the Platinum kept everything he could from his previous Milano that was totaled in 2005, plus 20 years of random spares). It’s sad because it’s a very rare day when I have…
Main difference between milk and just about anything else is only milk is literally designed and intended for a very specific, non human organism to consume. Everything from steak and wheat bread is made from materials harvested from an organism and transformed into food FOR AND BY HUMANS. Even cheese and butter and…
In general I would agree with your sentiment that it’s weird to create an arbitrary line about anything. In this case, however, I have to largely support the original post. Milk literally is formulated by evolution to be perfect for the nutritional needs of young cows, and that fact makes it seem like a very weird…
Right. And it likely would look pretty cool anywhere under 2000 rpm
