You should pick up the graphic novel at your local library. It would be the same as looking at Game If Thrones source material. If you liked the show the first 12issues of the comic will be a blast.

If they where Fiore and DeBlanc, what happened to their fellow they sent to awaken the Saint Of Killers? Unless they tie it in as a flashback?

Seemed like to many scenes for shock factor. One thing I liked about the comic, at least early on in the comic was that the characters where more average with amazing things happening to them. Not amazing characters right out of the box.

I didn't see any Angel's either? When you read a book that is so good the television show never holds its water.

Tulip and the Vamp. buddies are way off. I kind of liked the less advanced intro. Of the comic with plenty of room for character development. She shot down a helicopter with coffee cans. I almost went to bed but hung in there.
