Had it been a 40 year old car with 40 year old parts, I’d have expected some of what I experienced. However, it was a 40 year old car with all brand new parts. New bushings. New ball joints. New shocks. New springs. New everything. I have a 71 Nova that drives very similar, but, it’s been unrestored and largely

You know how I know you’re lying? Those cars don’t corner.

My dad’s 68 GTO. Despite being completely restored, it drove worse than an old dump truck. It redlined at highway speeds. The steering wheel only offered suggestions for where you’d like to go. Headlights may as well not been installed. Sure made my decision to sell it that much easier. If the emotional baggage that

Scissor jacks. Simply won’t use them. I’ve got two 2 ton floor jacks for work at home. If something happens on the road, I’ve got AAA. I used a scissor jack a few weeks a go in desperation and as soon as I needed a little force to remove my wheel that had seized to the hub, I gave up. I could have done it myself, but,

Thrash it or scrap it. It is the only reasonable response. I hate museum pieces. If it isn't going to be driven, stuff it full of explosives and say buh bye.

Why is this supposed to upset me again?

I have to nominate stickers I once put on my car. The Piss on Ford and Piss on Jap Crap stickers. I’d like to beat 16 year old me.

You mean besides the fact that they suck and don’t do squat to protect the car?

Bring back bench seats! I hate buckets.

Hold on. Mitsu is still active in the US?

Thankfully, I’m smart enough to recognize how stupid I am and how much of a bad idea this would be for me.

It’s like classic VW owners get off on self punishment.

    Graduated in 2000.

It was a blue Blue Bird with white trim and lettering.

My high school had blue ones.

    Gotta love my home town.

    **yawn**

I’m still struggling to understand the appeal to drifting. I’d love a Focus RS, but, I just don’t get the whole drifting thing at all. Don’t get me wrong, the Ken Block videos are fun to watch. It’s the one form of motorsports that does not resonate with me.

The shuttles at work have power sliding doors and they’re awful. Some things really should not be automated. Car doors are one of those things.

It's not ugly. It is just too big. I feel like Porsche designs don't scale up well. Same for their SUVs. Obviously people buy them. I just happen to not be a buyer.
