This is deadspin that shows over and over and over again they have no clue what the NCAA actually does and what powers they have. They want the NCAA everywhere doing everything on every college campus but then complain the NFL might suspend a woman and baby beatter.

It’s not even a correct statement by DS. Semenya does not have higher levels of T than most women. She has over twice the levels of T than all XX women that have ever been tested.

If you want women’s sports you must have a way to discriminate who does and who does not qualify. So yes I think T is the best of bad options. The line the IAAF has proposed here is higher than every XX female that has ever been tested. It is almost 60 percent higher than the 99.9 percentile of women T levels. It’s 7

Sure but it does not stop you from being an ignorant and arrogant blowhard.

Having two divisions has to be enough. I feel bad for Semenya and others that have hyperandrogenism but there is not enough of them nor enough interest to build a financially viable 3rd division*. If she wants to compete against the men awesome best of luck. But, yeah there will be people screwed in any decision you

Because not a single female would be able to compete. Over a thousand high school boys in just the US have beat the Woman’s world record in the 100 meters. You can change that to ten’s of thousands for the least convtervosial time.

You are making an assumption that rational thought and human decency are the same in this case. What is the purpose of women’s sports? To me, it is a place for biological females to compete against other biological females to see who is the fastest strongest most endured that way females can have a chance to compete

As far as arbitrary lines go I would say being over what every single XX female has tested for even at the most extreme plus half of what the average competitor tests at seems like a pretty fair line.

It’s because PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) is listed under hyperandrogenism. This will make almost the entirety of those with the label.

No there will not NOW be baselines because baselines have existed for T since the first anti-doping rules went into effect. Yes, HGH levels are tested for. Samples were taken for HGH years before there was an effective HGH test available.

This is a great article. That actually gets to the issue instead of the Deadspin handwaving that this is an easy issue with easy answers and anyone that does not agree is bad.

YES. Males are tested. In fact, they have a smaller window of standard deviations from the mean they are allowed to have their T in compared to females. A male would pop at less than half her equivalent.

Phelps has never dominated his swim events like Semeny’s has her. Sure he has dominated the sport but he had competitors that were right behind him.

The allowable T limit for women is a couple of standard deviations extra compared to the allowable T limit for men. Semenya was even over this extra allowance.

    Bring back T-Tops!

But, you will pass on Tagovailoa, Herbert and Jake Fromm to take McKenzie Milton.

That payment does not show up on the P/L sheet. They lost over 500 million in operations.

That is there biggest problem they can’t move X/S. Demand fell off a cliff than fell off another cliff.

CUV are extremely popular. CUV “Coupes” are not and the Y is more like a 3 Series GT than it is even an X4 so its even worse than that.

Thats fucked up hoping for a relapse on her hard fought victory over her addiction.
