That's definitely a defensible position. I'm not sure Brent DID mature much but certainly telling Finch to fuck off couldn't be a bad thing in any circumstance. :)

You're right—at least his downside is basically just being less involved than he probably should be. It just struck me when I was reading it because it's a neat trick—for the first third of the book his lack of involvement didn't even strike me. But certainly you could do worse, especially in Austen.

Oh crud.

Finch is not likable. If Brent has killed a box of his kittens, his "Fuck off" to Finch would have redeemed his character.

I always liked hiow the show consistently demonstrated that he wants to do the right thing, comes so close, so often, and… pretty much always fails in the end because of his own self-interest. I find him scarily relatable.

It amazes me how many people see Mr. Collins as the perfect father. Good pick.

Well, a serial killer probably isn't "unlikable" with quotes. Brady is like a cartoon villain if you're not a Pats fan—it has very little to do with whether he's a good person IRL.

Marvel: The Untold Story has a fair amount about Lobdell. He basically fell into his role, so I can't blame him too much—I think he was literally walking down the hall and they called him in to write a story.

Father Bra.

Big changes coming to the MCU.

THAT'S NOT WHAT TWITTER SAYS

The first comment is almost always about his son strangling that dog. He deletes those though.

I call him Obama, but just because it rolls off the tongue. I do feel bad about it sometimes though.

He wasn't VERY heavy when he was a somewhat-plausible presidential nominee in 2008 (plausible in that he got some momentum going, not in the sense that I'd have supported him). Seeing his dreams crushed inflated him.

His explanation of why he wasn't participating was actually what convinced me this might be good. It was basically putting Mike v. Joel to bed for good.

Pride and Prejudice is the best but my personal favorite is Emma.

I don't know if this is a serious statement or not, but I don't agree. No one is hurt by Simmons withdrawing from public life. He doesn't owe anything to anyone.

It was hilarious but would have been improved a lot with tighter editing. Kind of what I've heard about Ghostbusters.

Justify yourself, art!

Much better.
