What would have made a more convincing article would have been one that lists certain jobs (like Web designer, or programmer, or student, or White hat hacking) and then list all of the best apps on a Chromebook that would make using a Chromebook for those jobs (a) not so scary and (b) something better than just saying

Microsoft’s cross-platform apps (Outlook.com, I’m looking at you) just suck. If all they can produce by eating their own dog food is second rate apps, what chance do we have of using their tools to create anything any better? None.

This app-switching, app-killing shit is why I don’t get excited about apps anymore. It’s why I don’t bother adopting new apps anymore. And it isn’t just Google. Look at all of the apps Microsoft is flinging at the wall to see what sticks...

Just zip the damned things up and put them on a bit torrent site. Let the people interested in them download and keep (or host) the recipes themselves.
