It's always nice to have a great interface in an app that is seldom, if ever, used.

But Ubuntu has supported ARM processors since version 12.04, and while I understand the screen limitations, being able to re-use the same code base and libraries on a smaller device (just with a different GUI - like responsive web pages do) would be a huge time saver.
Is it not possible to build a phone that runs the same code as a desktop OS? I understand there will be CPU, RAM and storage limitations, but I am not clear on why Ubuntu for the phones could not be just Ubuntu running on a phone.
There is no way I'd ever use Yahoo email. They are so schizoid about their email app that I don't think they've gone more than 18 months without screwing with their desktop versions and completely confusing their end users. I have guided many a confused user away from Yahoo email on the desktop, and surely would not…
Next up...how to make a video without drowning out the speaker with music. (Hell, that should be a Kickstarter project.)
I want to create an app to record a single channel 24/7 and have it record over the previous day's recordings in kind of a loop. Its for recording a news channel. What would be the smallest footprint, simplest software to use for just such a thing?
Only buy upgraded parts for your old PC that you can use to build or upgrade a new PC if the updates do not produce enough of a positive change to keep your old PC. Stick with things like changing your old HDD to an SSD to boost speed. You can always use the SSD in a new build or bought PC so you can't really go…

Somebody should tell the brilliant minds at the San Jose City Hall about this before their planned Homeless Shed Park burns to the ground and gets the city sued out of existence.

This image with that whole "grain of salt" talk makes this kinda creepy....
I've always wondered why there aren't little fans in toilets that blew the offensive air outside (or into the septic/sewer system) when someone sat down....
Just carry a small pack of matches with you and strike one before leaving the bathroom.
$2.19 -
$329.99 without the power cord - up to $364.99 with one. WTF? $35 for a $2.50 power cord? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc…
Why doesn't the damned thing take the place of the regular dials in front of the driver? It would be faster and safer to glance down at that space than over to the center console. Besides, who else needs to see the freakin' map?
You may have a point there. It would be more financially advantageous to design for the ignorant masses than those that think.
Nope...that's not it. Your phone was likely made to 16:9 proportions as well. Does that mean that people watch movies more than do....well, anything else on their phones? Nope. It's just another example of manufacturers/designers not giving a single fuck about the end user and designing for themselves instead of…
