I am glad that you are willing to admit it. It takes a BIG person to admit they are wrong and boy, are you ever WRONG.

Wrong. He was a great man and patriot. Only someone who is on the Left would say such things.
Ah, you are a little late to the party, aren’t you? This has been repeatedly pointed out by others and I acknowledge my mistake. I was fixated on the Hornet paint scheme and mistakenly typed Avenger rather than Helldiver. By the time I realized it, I could not edit the post.
Okay, now you are talking. Can’t get enough of the Gulf Oil powder blue and orange livery.
Really sorry to hear this. All of us who love motorsport grieve when someone dies in an accident. My condolences to his family.
Clearly shit face, you are reading more into my comments than what I said. Use your brain imbecile. I NEVER said that losing a plane was worse than losing a life. I said that if both a pilot and plane are lost, it is even worse. Of course the pilot is paramount. Did you not get my statement that a pilot’s life as well…
I would love to visit that museum. Back in 1988, my sisters bought a ride for me in a Stearman with the Pond Planes of Fame East museum. This was in October. The museum closed up for the winter so I anxiously waited for spring to arrive. Well, wouldn’t you know it, but the museum closed over the winter and all the…
Back in 1969, when Funny cars really took off, most teams like Danny Ongais/Mickey Thompson, Jungle Jim, Hawaiian and Chi Town Hustler to name a few, were turning times around the high sixes at 200 mph. Today, an AMS Alpha 20 GT-R is pushing towards those same times and is fully streetable. Fast forward to today and…
Great article. One simple way to differentiate them is by the side vents. The ‘64 had vents the same as on the ‘63. The ‘67 had what could be described as gills and they were vertical, not horizontal like the ‘64. The hood can be another factor if it is a ‘67 big block. I had a ‘67 427 tri power roadster back in the…
Good one! Well, maybe only Chris Matthews watches MSNBC.
Have you not read my acknowledgement of my mistaking a Helldiver for an Avenger? Someone already pointed this out. After I posted, I could not edit my comments even though I soon realized I had made a mistake.
Aztek? Please, not while I am eating. The others were all bastard children as well.
Back in the 1980s, I volunteered for Robert Pond’s Planes of Fame East. Each Thursday evening, volunteers came in and cleaned the planes. My favorite was an F8F Bearcat. They had an Avenger, Helldiver, Dauntless, Wildcat, Hellcat and Corsair there as well for the Navy planes.
I hope the perp gets sentenced as well as banned from Superbikes. Like forever.
Yeah, you are right. As soon as I posted this, I saw I had made a mistake, but I couldn’t edit it. Thanks for the catch!
Okay Tyler, you are doing it to me again. This time with that lovely TBM Avenger and that F18 Hornet, especially that two toned blue camouflage pattern from mid-WW2. And, anytime you thrown P51s and P38 Lightnings into the mix, you have a recipe for awesomeness. Thanks once again!
God, I hate people like this. Their stupidity makes all the rest of us look bad. Why is it that at every car meet/gathering that there is always one schmendrick who has to show off, usually with the results either being the car gets damaged or worse, people get hurt or killed. Yes, we know your car if full of awesome,…
