The same Trek fans complaining that ‘this isn’t Star Trek’ would be shitting all over it if it had stuck to the formula. Complainers gon’ complain. Personally I think this is a great show (this episodes faults not withstanding), an updated version of Star Trek for today. No hippy-dippy peace love and roses nonsense.

I thought it was Lorca and Stammets assuming that a computer was necessary, when actually it was the knowledge contained within the Tardigrade that was needed.

I think they made it pretty clear that based on what type of food Ripper eats and what organism it shares traits with that Michael thinking it wasn’t a predator wasn’t based on intuition.

If you watch the window lines, it looks like only the top and bottom surfaces of the saucer spin, so the actual structure is as solid as it seemed before.
