Correct. Not only was it an angry spike in front of the officials, it was on the opposing team’s sideline, and bounced right into an opponent’s face (although that was unintentional, because you never know where the ball will bounce).

Boys’ golf has been a fall sport at least for the last 25+ years. I graduated in 1990, and golf was in the fall then as well. Not sure why girls’ is in the spring though. Similar to volleyball—girls play in the fall, boys in the spring.

Her school does not have a girls’ golf team. I don’t think the MIAA allows teams to exist as single-athlete entities, so she has to play for the boys’ team.

Here in the States, we have a much easier way of telling people we’re #1.
