When did the plural of “aircraft” become “aircrafts”?
“Scotland seems like a surprising place to host the world’s spiciest ice cream”
I can only recall two Amazon orders being late since I moved to the Charlotte suburbs in 2003.

Braunschweiger is awesome, though. I’ll buy some from Aldi a couple times a year. Man, Braunschweiger, onions and a good mustard is hard to beat!
The bottom line is that Subway just isn’t that good. If I want a sub sandwich at home, Harris Teeter and Publix have subs that are tastier, cheaper and closer. If I’m out somewhere, there’s probably a better option, be it a local chain, a QuikTrip or a traditional fast food place that actually serves HOT food.
As someone who spent some time in /r/AskNYC for a trip there last fall, people there are MUCH MORE HELPFUL if you can at least narrow down a neighborhood or specific need (for a hotel) or a specific type of cuisine (for restaurants). I saw people post really general questions like “What’s a good hotel in NYC?” or…
I grew up in Atlanta, and from the time I was 21 until I moved to a different city, it was rare to be charged for a soft drink. Sure, the hottest nightclub would want $2 for a plastic cup of Coke... but “Bob’s Neighborhood Dive” or “Bill’s Sports Bar” almost universally did not, so long as you were otherwise drinking.
I don’t know if new customers can still buy Android plans (since they went iPhone only last year), but my Virgin Mobile plan has unlimited talk and text, 5GB of LTE and unlimited streaming from Spotify (and a few other music streaming services) for $35/month. And I think they’d actually take $5/month off that if I…
He made the Android restore too complicated, too. Normally I:
PDAs were a “flop”? That’s news to me. Palm sold *millions* of Palm Pilots and had a giant ecosystem of accessories. Us poor IT support folk of the late 90s were constantly having to figure out why the damn things weren’t syncing to Outlook properly. And PDAs had all kinds of industrial\retail uses - Walmart’s…

I bet Rolls-Royce is happy you misspelled their name a dozen times in this article!
Nixon. 1973.
Maybe I’m weird, but I never thought it was that complicated:
Yes, the “Chevy Chase” name (for the area of Maryland) dates to the early 1700s. I’m not sure if Cornelius Crane Chase came up with the “Chevy” nickname himself, or if someone in his family, or school friends, came up with it
Exactly. If you’re that paranoid, spend the 97¢ for a power-only cord.
Why not? It’s worked so well for the Anglican Communion. [/sarcasm]
I dunno about bread prices, but I did notice an interesting phenomenon on a recent trip to the Netherlands: at Dutch grocery stores, most canned or frozen products have a “base price”, but charge higher prices when stuff is added. So the Dutch equivalent of Chef Boyardee canned spaghetti might cost €1 per can, but the…
