They aren’t “protesting” they are trying to overthrow the government; this is literally their stated aim and if you were doing the same thing in this country the US Government would do the same to you.

I often use the word “stupid” when discussing conservative talking heads but it is really mostly out of frustration and I acknowledge it is more likely true that they are simply being deliberately disingenuous (because that’s better I guess?)
