I’ve posted this before but in the central valley of California there are endless billboards all up and down I-5 proclaiming that farmers “feed the country” and asking “is growing food wasting water?” amidst literally tens of thousands of newly planted almond trees, 99% of the fruit of which is destined for export.

Apologies, rereading your comment and mine in context I can see how mine came off as critical of yours. It wasn’t, I agree with your statement and was attempting to amplify if with the observation that some socioeconomic groups are worse than others (IMO).

Of course the difference is when two Dollar Tree employees go to a ball game together one of them didn’t enthusiastically lie to kill hundreds of thousands or people and the other one can’t go in front of millions of people to defend that person as “a friend.”

The selfie of Bush is the face of a practicing alcoholic, including his wife looking the other way.

Why isn’t Jacob Wohl in jail?

Unless anyone thinks the corporate Borg (at the cog or the wheel level) will rally around Trump I’m not overly concerned. Someone once said the “bidness of America is bidness” and the proles being made unable to produce for their overlords due to political strife seems unlikely.

I have no idea who is “right” in this situation, and I can’t comment on the circumstances of the commissioner’s previous arrest.

From the article:

This is fun and all but after listening psychologists who have described what happens when narcissists of this magnitude are finally reined in it is not pretty, and in the case of someone with his power it is downright scary.

Yeah, that was great when McGuire said he didn’t know who the whistle blower was and didn’t want to know. Because he wouldn’t want to be in the position of maybe having to put his own ass on the line and do his job and protect his people from his Mad King except in the most abstract sense and with plausible

Why, it’s almost like the Speaker who has spent almost three years studiously ignoring high crimes and misdemeanors and sneering at people who suggest impeachment as the solution might not be serious about it at all.

I actually know a woman (a regretful Trump voter) who uses this as her excuse, ie “We now know Trump is a bad man but Hillary killed people!”

They have the non-plausible, but still deployable, deniability that because the phone call didn’t mention the military aid, he didn’t use it as leverage.

Oh, didn’t you hear? The Washington Post is reporting that Pelosi is “quietly” whipping recalcitrant Democrats to gain support for impeachment. So very, very quietly that it almost seems like she’s doing nothing at all.

Yes, being shot at is a real thing, and it is something “done” to other people by crazies and criminals; it is also something we put people in prison for. And yes, the people being shot at are victims in every sense of the word.

If we had tax funded healthcare corporations couldn’t it as a weapon against their employees. This is why we don’t have it right now.

Apparently.

Are you speaking to me? Nothing you have responded even remotely addresses what I stated or asked you about. In fact you seem to be asking and then answering questions you yourself posed.

There appears to be nothing they can do to make them answer questions, or even be civil for that matter. What is the point of even interviewing them?

Personal property being your gun? Or other property?
