I just picked up a 2020 Volvo V-60 for $22.5K. It would be perfect and a total delight to drive. As a fellow drummer, I’m confident your set would fit with ease.

We moved to Detroit from Indianapolis nearly 2 years ago. Can confirm the car insurance rates are painfully high!

January 2011. I worked for a non-profit which was holding its annual conference in Atlanta the following November, and our leadership met to plan for the conference on site early in the year. Six of us crammed in a Honda Odyssey for the 9+ hour drive down from Indianapolis. We were less than an hour out when Snowmagged

Now playing

These three classics from VW back around featuring Swedish actor Peter Stormare are 3 of the best that clown the ‘Pimp My Ride’ phase. Some classic lines, too, from the frosty blonde. “You got an ‘F’!” or “It’s definitely sucking.” All made for laugh out loud commercials that intrigued me on Volkswagen...albeit

Thanksgiving three or four years ago. We travel the 6 hours to the other side of Detroit (from suburban Indy) to be with my in-laws. We arrive late on Thanksgiving Eve, and my wife and mom-n-law decide on a plan of action for tackling the 21-pound turkey the next morning.

My dad bought one of these brand new in 1969. By 1974, it burned a quart of oil per day and was so rusted out that you could see the ground through various body panels. When he sold it to a young guy in town for $50, I think he felt bad that he didn’t pay the kid the $50 to take it off of his hands. #vayaconDios

Back in November, I bought a 2019 Volvo S60 T6. Turbo & supercharger for a total of 316hp and 32mpg on my last big trip. Plenty of room and only paid $27K at my local CarMax, and the car only had 24,000 miles. Total win for one of the best cars I’ve ever driven (owned 2 BMW 3-series).

Bought my wife a new 2019 Chevy Equinox with the 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder engine. I asked the salesman, “What octane fuel does this require?”

I did the same in an ‘89 Chevy Corsica back in the early ‘90's. I knew I was cutting it close, but thought I could make back to our town in NE Ohio.

1897. Molto benne, Itália!

I was a youth pastor in a small northeastern Ohio village back in the early 90's. I drove an ‘89 Chevy Corsica. It was not great...

Nah...Jesus leased a Honda. Says so in John 8:42, “I came not of my own Accord...”

When my youngest left for college, he left his 2004 Chevy Classic (Malibu) at home until some future point when he would want to take it to school. It ran well, but was worth very little. I sold my 2012 Hyundai Veloster which had every bell & whistle I could ever want but was vastly underpowered and had a brutal ride

The new Corvette looks great.

I hate to buy new...depreciation and all that jazz. However, I just about did the next best thing. I drove my son’s 2004 Chevy (Malibu) Classic for a year and a half while saving. In late November I bought a 2012 BMW 328Xi coupe with just under 23k miles and a super clean CarFax for cash. Quickest purchase ever made,

This would be my choice for an occasionally driven, head-turning cruise mobile. Should sell around your budget requirements and be TONS of fun!
