Humans are deeply disappointing and we deserve what we get but not because people like to watch more TV, you self-aggrandizing weirdo

The rowing is the least of Oxford Blues’ crimes against authenticity.

Not as authentic as Mississippi Delta.

The purpose of that plotline was to pave the way for the power dinamic to change between Agnes and Ada. This is not the kind of show that would realistically explore the consequences of the con.

I used to make mild fun of the folk who loved and religiously followed Downton Abbey.

Guaranteed the reverend was secretly wealthy, thus now giving Ada the upper hand in that household.

See’s brand cherry cordials are really good.

I watched two minutes of Barbie, followed by three minutes of Oppenheimer, followed by two minutes of Barbie, and so forth, as the filmmakers clearly intended.

Cherry cordials (the ones with a liquid center, not the cream-center ones) are delightful. Fight me.

The dark chocolate ones are good; the milk chocolate ones are, too often, made with cheap chocolate that lacks a decent flavor.

Cherry cordials are your aunt’s favorite candy (and as your Mom is generally also someone’s aunt, it’s probably hers too). Apparently, America hates their Moms.

No slide show, cool!

I assume these are in no particular order? Because Janice and Lilith are the GOATs.

The problem with salad at Thanksgiving is one of real estate. Salad made from leafy greens takes up a lot of space on a plate. On any other Thursday this is fine. On Thanksgiving I’m not going to waste valuable space on greens that could go to gravy-covered things.

Nobody wants salad at thanksgiving.  Don’t want to waste the gut space on salad

So we’re pretty confident Mr. Russell did some shady accounting with the rail company and the opera house to feign poor with the union, right? And that it’ll all come out publicly. As cutthroat as Mrs. Russell is, I think she has more than met her match in Mrs. Winterton, who equally wants to bring her down.

Listen, you throw a Laura Benanti in the mix, my attention, it is had.  But mileage can vary.

If it was a mutually beneficial agreed-upon relationship based in truth of the matter, why not? I’m sure plenty of women at that time who did a lot worse than having a fun rich gay husband.

I actually really like this show. I hope they learn from other tv shows and not end on a cliffhanger. (the Nevers??) New tv shows that look great with low stakes that show the social structures evolving between Bridgerton and Downton Abby are great to have these days.

Just here to say GOD DAMN! that looks like Robert Shaw.
