I kinda like these movies trying to maybe be more small scale... Usually the problem with that is people expect a certain level of fireworks and that burns itself out but the MCU is so well settled at this point they could get away with doing smaller stuff in between the mega team ups.

In the legal industry we call this the “nuclear option.” Put them on blast to every website, regulator, police department, etc.

I live on Long Island NY and am in Brooklyn often..... I see these all the damn time.

Both Last week tonight and more recently Good Omens have been very enjoyable.

shout out dowd getting airfare and lodging!

Neal! Whose girlfriend sent him a pig’s heart with a stake through it for Valentine’s Day. He also had his tongue bitten off during a punk show because he shoved his tongue in the wrong stranger’s mouth. (I can remember only 10% of what I learned in law school, but I can remember RW events like they happened to me).

At first, researchers did notice a correlation between supplements and reduced mortality, but those associations disappeared when the researchers factored in confounding variables.

I grew up in the era where the only way an unmarried woman could get the pill was to say that you had terrible cramps. With a wink and a nod, gynecologists would hand you a prescription.

The pill changed my life. From the day I got my period at 10, I had horrible heavy bleeding. It would get better after 2 days and then on day 5 I would bleed like it was the first day for the next 3 days. My cramps were so bad that I would take 4 Advil’s every 4 hours until I finally was prescribed something that

That is the single dumbest thing I’ve read in my 48 years on this planet, and I’ve read the first two pages of The Fountainhead.

Everything here sounds exhausting.
I’ll be first in line! I love highfalutin nonsense!

Mostly I just love Adam Driver and his unfeasibly enormous chest.

This is one where you needed seven hours. Dead Zone? His West Wing episode? Poison Ivy?

WHAT IS THE COST OF LIES?

This was a really well done series, the ending wasn’t drama it was what that drama meant. Which actually I think lent it a lot more power than if we just ended on the final sequence. We got much more of the mundanity of the disaster. Yes this was a nuclear power plant, but, really it was just yet another office with

I’ve been simultaneously reading “Midnight in Chernobyl” and am shocked that, if anything, the show toned down how truly effed everything was.

Uh you know the courtroom was *in* the town of Chernobyl right?

The series opens showing the event silently, in the distance, and from the perspective of an outside character. It’s almost casual.

The hell? I found the first two episodes to be pretty much perfect (maybe a little heavy on the narration), while the Forrest Gump-esque interlude in this one just dragged.
