Author Daniel Kraus helped provide the seed of the idea a few years back, though it doesn’t appear he gets an official credit on the film, which is a bit disappointing.

I know they’ve been doing this for decades, but why do they announce the deaths of characters and other big events?
I think it went on a bit too long for my taste when Theon was Reek, but even despite that, I’ve really enjoyed the larger story (especially Yara in the show and Asha in the books) and wish they could give the Iron Islands more than just lip service as we advance to the series finale.
Last night Aidan Gillen did a great job. I know his accent tends to... wander a bit, but it’s never bothered me that much. His face though... he does a great job overall and last night was beautiful.
Except Fox is more like the kidnapper in the Mr. Show sketch.
