I just read the book for the first time a month ago and I completely agree.

To a certain extent IT is just acting within its own nature, but I’m sure a majority of people in the US know at least one Henry Bowers, even if we were fortunate enough to avoid them growing up.

Benioff’s novel City of Thieves is excellent and packs in a whole lot of historically accurate information in a way that never FEELS like you’re slogging through a tedious history book.

The novel has a lot of what I liked about The Circle (i.e. the place of technology in our lives, the discomfort of constant surveillance, etc.) but the protagonist is written as a WOMAN not a man with tits.

Right? That line seemed out of left-field.

My 9-year-old son says he wants to see it, but at the same time, he isn’t talking about it A LOT like he was with Rogue One, or Cars 3. If we took him, he’d be happy, but I don’t think he’d be terribly disappointed to miss it either.
